Each space is given a certain amount memory and disc space to use. This gives the web site owner a lot more flexibility and control over their page. In knowing the different types of servers you can determine what the needs will be for your website. Once you determine that you can determine whether you need dedicated server hosting, shared server hosting, or virtual private server hosting.
